Oxford Crime Report: Thursday, June 25
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: four suspicious activities, three disturbances, three alarms, three welfare concerns, two simple assaults, two fire department assists, an ambulance assist, a public intoxication, a trespassing, a 911 hang up call, an embezzlement, a petit larceny, a phone harassment, a grand larceny, and a malicious mischief.
Oxford police investigated three wrecks, issued 48 traffic citations and made two arrests on the following charges: a possession of drug paraphernalia; and a speeding with no driver’s license nor seatbelt nor car insurance.
University police responded to the following incidents: a vehicle stop on University Avenue, and a service call for an ambulance at Acoustics Center.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following incidents: a smoke detector malfunction at 8:10 a.m. on third floor lobby at Solo Apartment, a public assist at 10:53 a.m. at 177 Eagle Pointe Loop, and a test of alarm system at 11:03 at The Ice House.
