The Domain at Oxford Begins Construction, Accepting Pre-Leases

Construction has begun on a new student housing development east of Old Taylor Road in Oxford. Called The Domain at Oxford, the development will be a 642-bed purpose-built student housing community that is located just south of the University of Mississippi. It is the result of a joint-venture partnership between Texas-based Asset Plus Companies and Diamond Realty Investments, Inc.

The property will feature a mix of one-, two- and four-bedroom suite-style units that will offer full private bathrooms, hardwood-style floors and granite countertops. The fully-furnished units will also be equipped with a full-size washer and dryer, stainless-steel kitchen appliances and a flat screen TV.

“We know the Oxford community inside-out and are confident that with the addition of Domain at Oxford, we will continue to offer Ole Miss students a highly desirable community with an environment that will contribute to their success,” Mike McGrath, CEO of Asset Campus Housing said in a press release.

The gated housing community will also feature an 11,000 square foot clubhouse with a club-like exercise facility, resort-style pool and outdoor fire pit.

Pre-leasing has begun for The Domain at Oxford, and the apartments will be ready for move-in August 2016. Students will sign individual leases, meaning that they are only responsible for the rent of their individual bed, not the rent of the entire apartment.
