Ole Miss Basketball announced a challenging non-conference schedule Friday, highlighted by eight road or neutral-site games including possible matchups against 2015 NCAA Tournament teams Oklahoma State and Virginia in the Gildan Charleston Classic and road games at Kansas State, Memphis and UMass.
The Rebels open the 2014-15 regular season in Tad Smith Coliseum Nov. 13 against Northwest State before taking on Georgia Southern Nov. 16. Ole Miss then heads to Charleston, South Carolina, for the Gildan Charleston Classic Nov. 19-22. The Rebels will face George Mason Thursday before playing either Oklahoma State, which advanced to the Big Dance a year ago, or Towson Friday. A possible matchup with preseason top-five Virginia awaits Ole Miss Sunday.
Ole Miss will return home Nov. 25 for a game against Georgia State, which upset Baylor in last year’s NCAA Tournament. The Rebels will hit the road again for Peoria, Illinois, for a game against Bradley Nov. 28 before traveling to Springfield, Massachusetts, to face UMass in the Basketball Hall of Fame Game Dec. 5. Ole Miss wraps up a three-game road swing Dec. 12 with a trip to Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to take on Southeast Missouri.
The Rebels return to the Tad Pad Dec. 15 for a game against Louisiana Tech before traveling to Memphis Dec. 19 to face the Tigers at FedEx Forum. Ole Miss will host Troy Dec. 22 and will travel to Kansas State Jan. 30 as part of the SEC/Big12 Challenge for their final non-conference game of the season.
All non-conference tickets are $5 per game. Group tickets are available for as low as $1. Visit OleMissHoops.com to purchase single-game tickets. The SEC schedule will be announced by the conference office in August with league action tipping off Jan. 2.
