On Friday evening, the Ole Miss soccer team will host Central Arkansas in an exhibition match. This match will kick-off the 2015-16 season for coach Matthew Mott and his team.

When the Rebels take the field they will have one of the most experienced squads in the country as 19 letter winners return from a team that went 8-6-5 last year.

Ole Miss returns ten starters from last season’s team. Leading the offensive attack for the Rebels in scoring will be Olivia Harrison (7), Addie Forbus (7), and Jessica Hiskey (6) who combined for 20 of the team’s 30 goals last season.

Central Arkansas Bears are coming into Oxford after a tough fought 2014 campaign were they went 5-12-2 and 1-9-1 in conference play. This season, the Bears return only one senior to the field and well-rounded junior class that looks to lead the squad.

When the whistle blows, this will be the first meeting between the two programs.

Ole Miss will open up the regular season on August 21 on the road as they face Florida Gulf Coast, before returning back home to the Ole Miss Soccer Stadium to face-off against Boise State on August 23 at 12 p.m.
