Gameday Book Signing to Benefit Local Children

unnamed (4)Popular children’s author Darla Hall will hold a book signing Saturday at the University of Mississippi shortly before the kickoff of the UT Martin game with proceeds from the sale of books benefiting local children through Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi.

The signing will take place from 8 to 10:30 a.m. at the Ole Miss Bookstore tent in front of the Student Union. Hall is the author of the Ole Miss Activity book and App. She first got the idea to make sports-themed activity books when one of her client’s sons was struck by a car and broke his legs. The boy, Miles Waldrop, has fully recovered. Since then, Darla has donated hundreds of books to children in local hospitals.

Theresa Hannah, Trade Supervisor of the Ole Miss Bookstore said, “We are excited to host Ms. Hall for such a worthy cause. She has created a fine activity book and I look forward to seeing the good she can do for our community. ”
