Oxford Crime Report: Wednesday, October 21
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: six suspicious activities, four auto burglaries, four alarms, two larcenies, two disturbing the peace, two welfare concerns, two harassments, a parking complaint and a careless driving.
Oxford police investigated 10 wrecks, issued 35 traffic citations and made eight arrests on the following charges:

Shoplifting
No driver’s license
Speeding with possession of fake ID
Failure to yield and DUI to first degree
Improper equipment with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
University police responded to the following incidents: seven vehicle stops, vandalism at Kincannon Hall, and a petit larceny at Intramural Fields Road.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following incidents:
Alarm company working on an alarm system at 9:05 a.m. at J.D. Williams Library
Smoke detector activated at 6:19 p.m. at Quarter Condo #123
Smoke detector activated at 8:50 p.m. by a blow dryer and a hair spray at North Residential College
