Last Friday, Nkemdiche was trailing behind Peppers so Ole Miss fans will need to stay vigilant if they want Nkemdiche to win the fan vote for the award. The fan vote will be counted as the 17th vote along with 16 judges consisting of former NFL greats and sports journalists.
His father, Dr. Sunday Nkemdiche, said in an interview with HottyToddy.com about Robert Nkemdiche possibly winning the award: “I’m very, very excited. To me, it would mean a lot and to the legacy of Mississippi. It would be tremendous.”
