Ronald Mongeon – Shoplifting & Possession of Controlled Substance

On Friday, December 3, 2015, Oxford police investigators served Ronald Mongeon (41 of Tennessee) with an arrest warrant for shoplifting. While being placed in custody, Mongeon had heroin in his possession. The police also charged him for a possession of a controlled subtstance. Mongeon’s bond was set at $10,000.

Oxford police responded to the following incidents: 18 suspicious activities, 12 alarms, seven improper parking, seven disturbances, six noise violations, six 911 hang-up calls, five malicious mischief, four civil matters, two careless driving, two ambulance assists, two simple assaults, two lost properties, a welfare concern, a credit card fraud, an animal complaint, a shoplifting, a motorist assist, a harassing phone call, an identity theft and an auto burglary at Courthouse Square.

Oxford police investigated 27 wrecks, 53 traffic citations and made __ arrests on the following charges:
(4) Minor in possession of alcohol
(2) Careless driving and DUI
Warrant served
Public intoxication
Warrant served and shoplifting
Possession of drug paraphernalia
One headlight and possession of drug paraphernalia
Improper passing, suspended driver’s license and DUI
Speeding, no driver’s license, no insurance and warrant served
Speeding, possession of drug paraphernalia, warrant served and DUI
Careless driving, no insurance, no driver’s license and possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle
Careless driving, fake ID, minor in possession of alcohol, possession of drug paraphernalia and DUI

University police department responded to the following calls:
Friday, December 4
Auto burglary on North Lane
Vehicle stop on Dormitory Row West
Intoxicated person at Stockard Hall
Accidental hit and run at Crosby Hall
Accidental hit and run at Ford Center
Accidental hit and run at Lamar Hall
Service call for an ambulance at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium
Saturday, December 5
(2) Traffic details at University Circle and University Avenue
Fire in the University Grove
Vehicle stop on Sorority Row
Vehicle accident at Chi Omega house
Possession of drug paraphernalia at Kincannon Hall
Vandalism per malicious mischief at Residential College
Report of a suspicious person at Ford Center
Sunday, December 6
Larceny at Ole Miss Union
Possession of a controlled substance with drug paraphernalia at Stockard Hall

Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
Friday, December 4
No emergencies
Saturday, December 5
CO detector activation at 210 McElroy caused by a new heater burning which led to a high CO reading
Small grass fire at 6:59 p.m. caused by a blown transformer at Price Street along the walking trail
Sunday, December 6
Grass fire at 404 Vivian caused by hot charcoal being poured out
Smoke detector activation at Chi Omega house caused by a smoking popcorn machine
