University Police Chief Tim Potts asked the FBI to investigate the incident between Chris Barnes and the New Albany police officer Brock White to ensure transparency.

The FBI reviewed all the videos, testimonies and other evidence to determine that Barnes was intoxicated, belligerent and resisted arrest, according to WMCTV. The FBI is not charging Officer White for punching Barnes.
