The Ole Miss baseball team will play at least 10 games on national television for the upcoming 2016 season. The Rebels will be featured on SEC Network eight times throughout the season, while also appearing on ESPN2 and ESPNU for one game apiece.

People across the country will be able to get a taste of the best atmosphere in college baseball with eight of the 10 nationally televised Ole Miss games airing from Oxford-University Stadium/Swayze Field, home of the Rebels. In addition, the other 24 homes games not on national television will be available for fans to watch on SEC Network+ and WatchESPN.

The Rebels first hit the national stage March 26 in a Saturday afternoon contest versus South Carolina. The game will be the series finale between the two teams, and first pitch is set for 2 p.m. CT on SEC Network. Fast forward to April, Arkansas makes a trip to Swayze Field, where the Saturday and Sunday games (April 9-10) are set for SEC Network broadcasts.

Ole Miss will play in front of a national audience five times in a span of eight days. After opening up the series against Auburn on SECN+, the Rebels and Tigers wrap up the series with two games on SEC Network (April 23-24). The following week, Ole Miss squares off against a pair of rivals that include three games broadcast nationwide. First, the Rebels face Mississippi State (April 26, SEC Network) for the annual Governor’s Cup in Pearl, Mississippi. Two days later, Ole Miss begins a Southeastern Conference series against LSU at 6 p.m. on SEC Network (April 28). The two rivals end the series with an 11 a.m. matchup on ESPN2 (April 30).

The Rebels will be in the spotlight for another Thursday night SEC battle, hosting Kentucky (May 12) on ESPNU. The second game of the series between the programs could possibly air on national television as well with Friday, May 13 designated as a wildcard selection. Last season, a Thursday night contest between Ole Miss and Texas A&M was picked up for a national broadcast. The Rebels and Aggies will be featured nationally once again this season, except this time in College Station and on SEC Network for the final game of the 2016 regular season (May 21).

More than 90 Southeastern Conference baseball games have been slated to air across ESPN networks, including 75 on SEC Network. Coverage of the conference sport on national television has quadrupled since SEC Network launched last year.

The 2016 SEC baseball schedule steps up to bat with a four-hour Bases Loaded special on the opening night of conference play, Friday, March 18. The show features a live compilation of seven games – all 14 teams – taking place that evening across the southeast.

This year’s schedule also includes five wildcard selections, allowing the network the opportunity to determine the best television matchup at a later date. The schedule closes out with SEC Network airing the entirety of the SEC Baseball Tournament, outside of the Championship game on ESPN2.

The Rebels open the 2016 campaign on Friday, February 19 against Florida International at Swayze Field. First pitch is set for 4 p.m. CT on SECN+.
