We’re celebrating Harry Potter Book Night at the Ole Miss Bookstore!

February 4th 2016 will see the second annual Harry Potter Book Night celebrated throughout the world and here at the Ole Miss Bookstore, we’re getting ready to host an unforgettable Night of Spells. The fun kicks off at 5 pm and will wrap up at 7 pm.

On Harry Potter Book Night: A Night of Spells, we’ll be sharing the wonder of J.K. Rowling’s unforgettable stories and, most excitingly, introducing the next generation of readers to the unparalleled magic of Harry Potter. Here at the Ole Miss Bookstore, young wizards, witches and Muggles will be treated to an evening of games, activities, readings and quizzes, all at no cost. It all begins with receiving your Hogwarts letter, and then the Sorting Hat decides who will be in which House. We will continue the fun with a variety of activities, from creating our own magical wands, readings from our favorite Harry Potter books, the Ultimate Spellathon trivia challenge, and more!

We’ll be dressing up the second floor and creating our own Potions Corner as well as serving up free snacks inspired by some of the scrumptious wizard foods in the books. Once again, we will award prizes for the best dressed witch or wizard, so break out your magical finery. We will also award prizes for the trivia challenge and best photo from the photo booth.

Theresa Hannah says, “We had so much fun last year, we couldn’t resist joining in this unique event again. We are so excited to be joining up with schools, libraries, bookshops and community centers throughout the world to celebrate the second annual Harry Potter Book Night. We have always been fans of the Harry Potter books because of their fun world and broad appeal.”

RSVP is greatly appreciated, but not necessary. Everyone is welcome to attend, and there is no cost or fee to take part in the festivities!
