
Ole Miss heads out to Aggieland on Tuesday to face Texas A&M in a SEC showdown in Reed Arena. The tip-off is slated for 8 p.m. on ESPNU.
Ole Miss (16-9, 6-6 SEC) enters the game after defeating Arkansas 76-60 inside the Pavilion. Senior Stefan Moody led the way in scoring with 17 points, five rebounds and seven assists against the Razorbacks while his teammate Thomas Gielo added 15 points and five boards to his total.
Three other Rebels: Sebastian Saiz, Marcanvis Hymon and Anothony Perez also scored in double-figures in the victory.
Texas A&M is 18-7 overall and 7-5 in the SEC, but have dropped five-straight league games after opening conference play 7-0. The Aggies are 13-1 at home the season, but just 5-6 away from Reed Arena. Senior Jalen Jones leads the team in scoring at 16.0 ppg, while fellow senior Danuel House is close behind at 15.8 ppg. Jones also lead the Aggies pulling down 6.9 boards a game, but Texas A&M ranks 10th in the league as a team pulling down 36.0 rpg in conference play.
Senior Alex Caruso has dished out a team-high 125 assists this year and leads the SEC in steals with 58. The Aggies lead the league in scoring defense in conference play allowing opponents just 65.8 ppg and are second in turnover margin (+2.7) and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.4).
These two SEC foes have only met on the hardwood for five times since the Aggies have joined the conference in 2012. Texas A&M leads the series 3-2 with winning both meetings in College Station. In their last meeting Ole Miss defeated A&M 69-59 in Oxford.
