L.O.U. Excel by 5 Hosts Community Playdate February 20
The Lafayette-Oxford-University (LOU) Excel By 5 will host a Community Playdate on February 20 from 9:00 a.m. – 12 p.m.
The LOU Excel By 5 Coalition, in collaboration with United Way of Oxford & Lafayette County, will host its Community Playdate on Saturday February 20th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the University of Mississippi’s Jackson Avenue Center (1111 Jackson Avenue West). This is a free event, open to the public, but targeted specifically for families with children aged five years and younger.
The event will feature a wide array of age-appropriate activities and toys, all generously loaned by our local Family Resource Center. There will be fun for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergarteners! Light snacks will be available for children, while parents will have the opportunity to give input and feedback on the LOU Excel by 5 Coalition’s work and to win exciting door prizes!
Also featured at this Playdate will be a free musical experience with Kindermusik with Jeanne. Children and parents should get ready to “rock & roar” as Jeanne leads you on the musical adventures of Disney Junior’s newest hit television series, The Lion Guard at 10:30 at the Community Playdate. You’re invited to explore the African savannahs in a rip-roaring, fast-moving adventure, all set to the thunderous beats of some of your favorite Kindermusik tunes and music from Disney’s The Lion Guard.
The Family Resource Center (at 1097 Jackson Avenue, just across the parking lot) will be open during the playdate for families that wish to visit this community resource and borrow free books and toys.
