Oxford police responded to the following incidents: four disturbances, three suspicious activities, two fire department assists, a careless driver, an animal complaint, harassing phone calls, an identity theft, a false pretense, a burglary at Riverside apartments, an improper parking, a 911 hang up call and an alarm.
Oxford police investigated eight wrecks, issued 43 traffic citations and made eight arrests on the following charges:

Shoplifting
Warrant served
One headlight and suspended driver’s license
No seatbelt and possession of drug paraphernalia
One headlight and suspended driver’s license and warrant served
University police responded to the following incidents: three vehicle stops, three suspicious vehicles at Stockard Hall, Kappa Alpha lot, and Kincannon lot, a suspicious person at the Golf Course, a vehicle accident at Brown Hall, and a traffic assist at All American Drive.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
Smoke detector activation at 9:04 a.m. by cooking at First Baptist Church day care
Smoke detector activation at 11:34 a.m. by burned food at Oxford United Methodist Church
