Oxford Crime Report: Thursday, March 3
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: three suspicious activities, three alarms, two identity thefts, two harassment by cyberstalking/threatening emails, a civil matter, an embezzlement, a disturbing the peace, a domestic violence – simple assault, a petit larceny, a simple assault, a careless driving, a motorist assist, a suspicious person, a trespassing, a scam and a welfare concern.
Oxford police investigated seven wrecks, issued 43 traffic citations and made 11 arrests on the following charges:
(2) DUI – first degree
Shoplifting
Trespassing and public drunk
DUI and possession of Schedule IV drug
Expired tag and suspended driver’s license
Speeding, no insurance and possession of Fake ID
Improper equipment, no insurance and suspended driver’s license
Obstructing traffic, no driver’s license and child endangerment by DUI
Careless driving, possession of fake ID and possession of alcohol by minor
DUI to first degree, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of fake ID and failure to yield
University police responded to the following incidents: two vehicle stops, emergency medical services request due to an intoxicated person at Stewart Hall, a public drunk on Fraternity Row, a public drunk on Rebel Drive, a possession of drug paraphernalia in Kincannon Field Lot, and a petit larceny at Crosby Hall.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following call: a cancelled call at 1:32 p.m. en route to 2008 Harris Drive.
