Oxford Crime Report: Friday – Sunday, March 4 – 6
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: 16 suspicious activities, 11 alarms, seven careless drivers, six noise violations, six disturbances, five welfare concerns, four motorist assists, two illegally parked tags, two animal complaints, two fire department assists, two auto burglaries at Turnberry Condos and Campus Creek, a civil matter, a credit card fraud, a grand larceny, a code violation, a business burglary at Malco on Sisk Avenue, an aggravated assault, a lost property and a petit larceny.
Oxford police investigated 13 wrecks, issued 75 traffic citations and made 34 arrests on the following charges:

Speeding and DUI
No insurance and DUI
Suspended driver’s license and DUI
Domestic Violence / Simple Assault

Suspended driver’s license and expired tag
Speeding and possession of drug paraphernalia
Speeding, no insurance and minor in possession
One headlight and minor in possession of alcohol
Careless driver, expired driver’s license and DUI
Noise violations and possession of drug paraphernalia
No Seatbelt, no insurance and suspended driver’s license
Careless driver and possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle
Leaving the scene of an accident, no seatbelt, no driver’s license, no insurance and DUI
Possession of Schedule I narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication
