Oxford Crime Report: Tuesday, March 15
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: eight alarms, five suspicious activities, two disturbances, two careless drivers, two animal complaints, a fire department assist, a scam, a motorist assist, a phone harassment, a credit card fraud, an ambulance assist, an embezzlement and a shoplifting.
Oxford police investigated four wrecks, issued 21 traffic citations and made one arrest for public intoxication.
University police responded to the following incidents: nine vehicle stops and a speeding on Intramural Field Road.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following call: a fire at 6:19 p.m. at Old Taylor Place, Building E, Apartment 4. A patio cigarette bucket caught trash on fire, thus melting the bucket which caught the furniture and the side of apartment on fire. No one was home at the time.
