Oxford Crime Report: Wednesday, March 16
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: eight suspicious activities, four alarms, two 911 hang up calls, a harassing phone call, a noise violation, a code violation, a careless driving, an ambulance assist, a complaint of lost property and a welfare concern.
Oxford police investigated seven wrecks, issued 28 traffic citations and made six arrests on the following charges:
Trespassing
Careless driving and DUI
No headlights, suspended driver’s license and DUI
Improper equipment and possession of drug paraphernalia
No seatbelt, no insurance, suspended driver’s license and DUI

Oxford Fire Department responded to the following call: an air compressor issue at 4:59 a.m. that was caused by a drop in the water flow pressure which activated the water flow alarm at Hemingway Stadium East Rebel Club.
