Good morning Oxford and Ole Miss!
The temperature was a cool 45 degrees this morning at Pat Lamar Park in Oxford, but the temperatures will rise with a high of 67 for the day with mostly sunny skies.
Tomorrow, partial sunshine will keep temperatures cool in the morning and warmer in the afternoon with a high of 71 and low of 56. Expect another round of thunderstorms to come through Oxford on Thursday, which will cool things off with a low of 34 degrees.
While the flood waters are slightly dropping around Mississippi, a flood warning will remain in effect for Tallahatchie and Coldwater Rivers. If you encounter an area or road underwater remember to “turn around and don’t drown!”
Weather Tip:
The weather tip comes from the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency:
It’s always good to have an emergency supply kit in case of bad weather. Extra batteries, non-perishable food, a weather radio, bottled water, cash, important documents and sanitary items are good things to keep in your kit. For full list of suggested supplies, visit msema.org.
