Oxford police responded to the following incidents: four suspicious activities, four alarms, two disturbances, a noise violation, an animal complaint, a house burglary at Edinburg Condos, a 911 hang-up, a complaint of lost property, a careless driver, a motorist assist, a petit larceny and a recovered property.
Oxford police investigated four wrecks, issued 87 traffic citations and made two arrests on the following charges:
Careless driving and DUI
Speeding, possession of Schedule IV Narcotics and DUI
University police responded to the following incidents: two vehicle stops, a suspicious vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia with controlled substances at Stockard Hall, an accidental hit and run at Stewart Hall, a larceny at Kincannon Hall, and a service call for an ambulance at Bishop Hall.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following call: a standby at 11:29 a.m. as the chlorine tank was changed out at Winchester.
