The Rebel Man Sprint Triathlon went off without a hitch on a magnificent Sunday morning on the Ole Miss campus hosting over 200 participants who battled their way through a challenging course beginning with a 440-meter swim in the Turner Center pool, followed by a hilly 22km bike leg that wound through Ole Miss to Taylor and back, finishing with a scenic run through the UM campus.
Although the theme for racers was fun and games and to challenge themselves in the 3-sport discipline; the event was all business for organizers of the race as they work to raise scholarship and professional development money for grad students in the Health, Exercise Science and Recreational Management Department at Ole Miss.
Kudos all around – especially to race director Deirdre Brunton – as the day proved to be a success on all accounts.
