SEC Country: Ole Miss QB Chad Kelly to Miss Remainder of Spring Due to Injury

Courtesy of David Collier and SEC Country

Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly recently underwent surgery to repair a sports hernia, Chuck Rounsaville of the Ole Miss Spirit has reported.

Kelly will miss the rest of spring practice while he recovers, but will return to team workouts in three weeks, coach HughFreeze told Neal McCready of RebelGrove.com.

Obviously, Kelly is a crucial piece of the Rebels offense in 2016, as he looks to lead a unit that lost seven starters from a season ago. Kelly, who totaled for 4,542 yards, 41 touchdowns and 13 interceptions in 2015, had the third-most total yards and passing yards (4,052) in SEC history.
