Tracy Joiner – Credit Card Fraud

On April 8, 2016, Oxford police investigators charged Tracy Joiner (43 of Batesville) with one count of credit card fraud [97-19-21(2)(i)]. Joiner was arrested after the investigators found him on surveillance video using a stolen debit card at a gas station. He was booked and his bond was set at $5,000.

Oxford police responded to the following incidents: 13 suspicious activities, 11 disturbances, 10 careless drivers, eight 911 hang up calls, seven alarms, six noise violations, three welfare concerns, three motorist assists, two illegally-parked cars, two ambulance assists, a lost property, a petit larceny, a phone harassment, an animal complaint, a trespassing, a littering, a code violation, a malicious mischief, a scam, a recovered property, a residential burglary at Oxford Square Apartments and a auto burglary at North Mississippi Family Medical.

Oxford police investigated 18 wrecks, issued 54 traffic citations and made — arrests on the following charges:

Simple assault
Public intoxication
Speeding, ran red light and DUI
Simple assault and public intoxication
Contributing to the delinquency of a minor
Disturbing the peace and public intoxication
Careless driving, no driver’s license and DUI
Speeding, no driver’s license and no insurance
No seatbelt, no insurance and possession of drug paraphernalia
No seatbelt, no driver’s license, no insurance and possession of drug paraphernalia
Speeding, no insurance, suspended driver’s license and possession of drug paraphernalia

University police responded to the following incidents:

Domestic violence per simple assault at Kappa Sigma house
Disorderly conduct and possession of alcohol by minor in Fraternity Alley
Saturday, April 9
Public drunk on Jackson Avenue
Intoxicated person at Delta Psi house
Service call for an ambulance at Pittman Hall
Vandalism per malicious mischief at Stewart Hall
Disturbance at the Khayat Law School
Sunday, April 10
(2) Suspicious vehicles at Pittman Hall and Kincannon parking lot
Vehicle stop on Chucky Mullins Drive
Accidental hit and run at Northgate Apartments
Vehicle accident on the Fraternity Row
Vandalism to vehicle at the Ole Miss Band Hall

Smoke detector activation at 11:55 a.m. caused by a testing of a smoke machine at Townhouse Suites by Mariott
Saturday, April 9
Smoke detector malfunction at 12:06 a.m. at Kappa Sigma house
Smoke detector activation at 9:34 p.m. by burned food at Northgate
Sunday, April 10
Smoke detector activation at 10:12 a.m. by cooking in the concession stand at Swayze Field
