Oxford Crime Report: Tuesday, April 26
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: four welfare concerns, three malicious mischief, two suspicious activities, two noise violations, two disturbances, a careless driving, an ambulance assist, a fire department assist and a false pretense.
Oxford police investigated seven wrecks, issued 44 traffic citations and made five arrests on the following charges:
(2) Trespassing
Disturbing the peace
Possession of drug paraphernalia
No seatbelt, no insurance, suspended driver’s license and possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle
University police responded to the following incidents: eight vehicle stops, running a stop sign with a fake ID on Rebel Drive and a larceny at Union.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
Fire alarm at 12:47 p.m. at The Connection but the call was unfounded
Smoke detector activation at 4:05 p.m. caused by burned food at Mary Buie Musuem
