As the Ole Miss football team experiences unprecedented success with Coach Hugh Freeze, demand for this football season’s tickets has been soaring.

While Ole Miss Athletics’ renovation of the North End Zone in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium has expanded seating to more than 64,000 people, the athletics department still sold out of season tickets this year.

Some people who requested tickets and paid deposits, received refunds when they didn’t have enough priority points to meet the cutoff. Some Ole Miss fans tweeted their complaints.

Ole Miss Athletics fulfills season ticket requests based on a priority points basis. Priority points can be earned through a variety of ways, including the purchase of season tickets in baseball, men’s and women’s basketball and football along with donations. Each person receives one priority point for each season ticket purchase or for every $100 dollars donated.

Fans who received refunds will need to consult outside ticketing merchants to purchase tickets.
