On Saturday, July 2, the Oxford police department arrested John Wallis (20 of Richmond, Texas) and Brandon Shelton (23 of Blue Springs, Mississippi) for Burglary. Both have appeared before a Judge and their bonds have been set at $15,000 each.
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: nine alarms, four suspicious people, four disturbances, two animal complaints, two motorist assists, two welfare concerns, a fire department assist, a parking complaint and a grand larceny.
Oxford police investigated three wrecks, issued 16 traffic citations and made two arrests on the following charges:
DUI to first degree and careless driving
Running a red light with a suspended driver’s license
Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: 16 service calls, three alarms, three suspicious activities, two harassments, two traffic complaints, an animal complaint, a disturbance, a commercial burglary, a grand larceny, a petit larceny, a welfare concern, a transportation, a civil matter, and an identity theft.
University police department responded to the following incidents: six vehicle stops, a service call for an ambulance at Ole Miss Golf Course, and a grand larceny of more than $1,000 at Campus Walk Apartments.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following call:
Cancelled call at 11:26 a.m. at 325 Van Buren Avenue
