Earn $23.00 Per Hour as a Mississippi Disaster Reservist

The FEMA/Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) Disaster Recovery Center table at the Pearl Day Festival.
When disaster strikes workers are needed immediately.
What typically are volunteer opportunities to serve, Mississippi Emergency Management Agency is offering a chance to be a disaster reservist, but as a paid worker.
MEMA director Lee Smithson is seeking to build a large group of trained personnel who can be called on a moment’s notice when needed to assistance in a large-scale disaster. It’s not a new program but Smithson claims it’s been under-utilized in the past. MEMA is hoping to have 300 reservists ready to go by the end of the year.
A disaster reservist must be at least 18-years-old. Applications are available online at msema.org.
Workers will be paid $23.00 an hour.
