Oxford Crime Report: Tuesday, August 9 – Malicious Mischief, Harassing Phone Calls
Alexander Dunn – Malicious Mischief
On Tuesday, August 9, 2016, Oxford police investigators served a warrant for arrest to Alexander Dunn (21 of Greenwood) for Malicious Mischief. On June 18, 2016, Dunn was identified by a witness who saw him jump up and down on a vehicle on the Oxford Square, causing almost $3,000 in damages. After booking, Dunn’s bond was set at $2,500.
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: four alarms, four suspicious activities, three welfare concerns, three complaints of lost property, two harassing phone calls, a noise violation, a trespassing and a disturbance.
Oxford police investigated four wrecks, issued 17 traffic citations and made four arrests on the following charges:
Suspended driver’s license and DUI
Expired tag and suspended driver’s license
Speeding and possession of drug paraphernalia
Ran a stop sign, no driver’s license and warrant served
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: four information calls, three alarms, two scams, an accident, an animal complaint, a disturbance, a juvenile complaint, a service call, a welfare concern, an accident and a transportation.
University police responded to the following incidents: two vehicle stops, a petit larceny at J.D. Williams Library, a suspicious vehicle at The Ridge, and a possession of drug paraphernalia at Stockard Hall.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
Smoke detector activation at 8:14 a.m. caused by workers sanding in room 535 at Residential Hall 3 on the University of Mississippi campus
Cancelled call en route at 4:10 p.m. at Captain D’s
