Mr. Feather’s Honky Tonk to Honor, Support Local Law Enforcement August 13
Mr. Feather’s will be hosting an event to benefit law enforcement this Saturday, August 13, from 12 p.m. until closing.
Mr. Feather’s owner, Scott Michael, said, “August is one of the toughest months of the year with the crime rates being so high. We want to show support for them.”
Michael said he and the staff at Mr. Feather’s considered a myriad of options to benefit law enforcement.
“We want to honor those that have lost loved ones,” Michael said. “We want to show support for these guys that do so much for us.”
Mr. Feather’s will have drink specials along with barbeque. Donations will be taken at the door and the money will go towards benefitting the law enforcement and families of fallen police officers.
“We want to bring some awareness and positive energy for those guys,” Michael said.
The event starts at noon and will run all day so the officers that may be at work can come and go throughout the day. This event will feature live music throughout the event with a rock band “The Litigants” to end the night on a strong note.
Michael said that he is extremely happy to do things like this for the local police and that the support he’s received for this has been overwhelming.
“It boosts morale,” Michael said. “When I contacted local law enforcements they were very appreciative. They were for anything that brings the community together in a positive way. It’s a great way for people that do support law enforcement to come out and show it.”
