Rebels in Rio: Former Ole Miss Pole Vault Star Advances to Olympics Final

Oxford native and former Ole Miss track and field legend Sam Kendricks advanced to the pole vault finals in the 2016 Summer Olympics.

The 2013 and 2014 NCAA champion is in first place at 5.70m going into Monday night’s finals. Kendricks didn’t miss one jump in Saturday’s preliminary.

Kendricks will compete against seven other qualifiers.
