Steve Vassallo, Lafayette County Chairman for Donald J. Trump, along with Jim “The General” Stephens, County Co-Chair, will be heading up 20 volunteers going into Ohio for five days to campaign starting October 30.

“We are very excited about assisting our Trump forces in this critical state,” Vassallo said. “We know we cannot win the election without carrying Ohio. Currently, we have a slim lead there and historically statewide elections are close, usually within 100,000 votes.”

The Oxford volunteers are part of a national initiative spearheaded by The Great American Strikeforce. Two other Mississippi teams will be headed into Florida and Maine. All battleground states will be receiving external help from across the nation. Vassallo and his team are still recruiting volunteers to assist in the endeavor.

Vassallo said, “We have about 12 seats left on the bus and we are actively raising funds to pay for the bus. Because we are confident Mississippi will convey its six electoral votes to Mr. Trump, this enables us the opportunity to assist in other states that are more competitive.”

The geographical area to campaign is the Cincinnati-Columbus corridor.

Individuals willing to help in any way can contact Vassallo at sovassallo@gmail.com.
