Books and Bikes: An Art Story Time on the Sculpture Trail at Lamar Park

img_2167Books and Bikes, a program sponsored by the Lafayette County and Oxford Public Library, will return this week to introduce children and adults of all ages to art at the Yokna Sculpture Trail.

Earl Dismuke, FNC Business Analyst by profession and sculptor by trade, will lead this session of Books and Bikes as guests ride or walk along the Yokna Sculpture Trail at Lamar Park with him. Dismuke is uniquely qualified to lead this tour as he worked with Yoknapatawpha Arts Council to create the sculpture trail at the park.

The session will begin at 3:30 p.m. at the pavilion located near the parking lot at Lamar Park and is free and open to the public.

“Bring your wheels and helmet or just yourself,” said Nancy Opalko, children’s librarian. “…Just us for stories, activities and a special tour.”
