18 Wheeler Takes Down Traffic Light On Highway 7

Around 11:30 this morning an 18-wheeler got caught up in the wiring of a traffic light at the intersection of Belk road and Highway 7. The trucks height caused the accident, and traffic is moving slowly as police have had to step in with the absence of the traffic light.
“We were told an 18-wheeler came through hauling logs and was too high. He hit the light lines, dragged it and damaged a few cars and trucks along with it,” Jimmy Wright, a worker on the scene said. “It was pretty hectic out here after it happened.”
Wright also mentioned that he expected the light to be fixed later tonight around 10 p.m.
