Revered Attorney And Professor Charles Walker Honored

Former students endow scholarship fund in mentor’s name

Charles H. Walker is a beloved member of the Ole Miss family, where his career at the University spanned 38 years teaching business law, real estate and accountancy while practicing law in Oxford.
In 2014 Walker was honored with a scholarship in his name by George and Annie Haymans of Oxford to benefit the real estate program at the Ole miss School of Business.
The Charles H. Walker Real Estate Scholarship Endowment has received gifts from many in the Oxford/Ole Miss community and will soon be awarded to a deserving student in the real estate program.
“My hope is those who have had their lives touched by Charles will see this as an opportunity to give back to Ole Miss and honor Charles’ legacy at the University. The more the endowment grows, more students will receive the scholarship”.
Charles, his wife, Mary, and their three children, Caroline, Mary Beth, and Jonathan are so appreciative of this honor and moved by the generosity of the community and those who have contributed.
Individuals and organizations interested in making a gift to the Charles H. Walker Real Estate Scholarship Endowment can send a check with the fund noted in the memo line to the University of Mississippi Foundation, 406 University Ave, Oxford, MS 38655; contact Tim Noss at 662-915-5932 or tlnoss@olemiss.edu; or visit https://www.umfoundation.com/makeagift.
