According to TMZ Sports, former Ole Miss CB Senquez Golson was stopped after going through security at the Mobile Regional Airport after TSA agents discovered a .45 caliber pistol with 23 rounds of ammunition in his bag.
The report states that there were no bullets in the chamber of the gun. Therefore Golson wasn’t arrested. TMZ’s report goes on to say that the officers “offered to hold the gun for him until he returned from his travels.”
Golson is most well known for his game-sealing INT against Alabama in 2014. He was framed by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft but has yet to make his NFL debut due to injuries.
The Steelers have yet to comment on the matter.
