The Ole Miss men’s basketball team found out the remainder of its 2017-18 schedule as the Southeastern Conference office released the conference slate Thursday afternoon. The Rebels will open and conclude SEC play inside The Pavilion at Ole Miss.
For the first time since the 2013-14 campaign, Ole Miss will not begin conference action against Kentucky. However, the Rebels will still face a premier opponent at home as 2017 Final Four participant South Carolina makes the trip to Oxford on New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31). Ole Miss will follow the SEC opener by kicking off the 2018 calendar year on the road, traveling to Georgia (Jan. 3).
A rivalry matchup will be the first game played at The Pavilion in 2018 with the Rebels hosting Mississippi State on Jan. 6. Andy Kennedy’s squad then hits the road for three of the next four games. The stretch consists of contests at Auburn (Jan. 9), Texas A&M (Jan. 16) and Arkansas (Jan. 20). Florida, coached by Ole Miss Hoops alum Michael White, will trek to Oxford to battle the Rebels (Jan. 13).
Sandwiched in between home games versus Alabama (Jan. 23) and Auburn (Jan. 30) is a road tilt against Texas (Jan. 27) as part of the Big 12/SEC Challenge. The Rebels return to conference play with a matchup at Tennessee (Feb. 3) before hosting Missouri (Feb. 6). Ole Miss goes through another span of playing three of four on the road with trips to LSU (Feb. 10), Mississippi State (Feb. 17) and Missouri (Feb. 20) to go along with a home game versus Arkansas (Feb. 13).
The Rebels square off against Tennessee for the second time on Feb. 24, at home, before closing out the month of February with a trip to Kentucky (Feb. 28). Ole Miss and Kentucky are the only two schools to finish .500-or-better in SEC play in each of the past six seasons. Closing out the 2017-18 regular season, the Rebels host Vanderbilt (March 3).
Tip-off times and television designations will be released at a later date.
Season tickets for Ole Miss Hoops can be purchased today by going to or calling the Ole Miss Ticket Office at 1-888-REB-TKTS (732-8587).
