Ole Miss Kappa Sigma's Hurricane Harvey Fundraiser Goes Viral

Yesterday afternoon on August 29, the Delta-Xi Chapter of Kappa Sigma at Ole Miss posted on Twitter asking for participation in a fundraiser for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.

Ole Miss students began retweeting and liking the post, which quickly spread it across Twitter feeds all over the country.
Three hours after the tweet went viral, the Ole Miss Kappa Sigma twitter account replied saying, “We’re absolutely humbled by the response from this fundraiser. We’ll tally the RTs and likes at 8 p.m. CST tonight as a final count.”

The tweet received over 80,000 retweets and over 151,000 likes as of noon, August 30. Many people from around the United States responded back to them and their efforts.
