It’s homecoming week for the Oxford Chargers, and students are going to celebrate the big game a day early as fall break is set to begin Friday, Oct. 6.
Students will participate in a school-wide homecoming carnival Thursday, and later that night, the Chargers will play host to DeSoto Central at 7 p.m. in the “Greatest Show on Turf” at Bobby Holcomb Field on the Oxford Middle School campus.
During the half-time show, the 2017 Homecoming Court will be presented. Tickets for the homecoming game are $7 dollars for both students and adults.
Due to fall break beginning Friday, the Chargers 7th, 8th and 9th-grade home football games took place Tuesday night.
