Rainbow Cleaners Accepting Canned Goods Donations Through Tuesday

Rainbow Cleaners has been offering Oxford area residents the opportunity to donate canned goods this holiday season. The company’s Thanksgiving food drive benefiting the Oxford Pantry runs through Tuesday, November 21, at 2 p.m.
“We wanted to join in the fight to help feed those in need this holiday season,” said Herron Rowland, owner of Rainbow Cleaners. “So many people make our dry cleaners a stop while running errands, so we feel it is pretty easy to pick up a few extra items at the grocery store while out and come donate.”
“The Pantry offers something so wonderful to our community,” Rowland added. “We just want to help deliver on their promise this holiday season.”
Anyone may drop off canned, non-perishable food items at both Rainbow locations (1203 Jackson Avenue West and 1904 University Avenue), using either the drive-through or the main entrance.
Donations will be collected during normal business hours: 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. on Monday-Friday and 7:30 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday. Patrons may also place their canned goods with their laundry bag before pick up.
“We hope that this is a convenient and easy way for our community to give back. I thank each of you in advance for always supporting Oxford,” Rowland said.
