The University of Mississippi has received its 24-hour notice of the NCAA’s Committee on Infractions ruling, Antonio Morales of the Clarion-Ledger reports.
Ole Miss should get the decision by 8:30 a.m. on Friday, and it will be made public later in the morning. The ruling involves former head coach Hugh Freeze and several former staff members, assistant coaches and boosters.
The most serious violation that the Rebels face is a lack of institutional control, among a total of 21 allegations, including 15 Level one violations.
In September, the Rebels went in front of the Committee of Infractions to plead their case. Ole Miss self-imposed a bowl ban on this season, in which the team finished 6-6. On Sunday Athletic Director Ross Bjork announced Matt Luke as the head coach of the Rebels.
