Eight Rebels Earn 1A FAR Academic Excellence Award

Eight Rebels have been honored as recipients of the 1A FAR Academic Excellence Award for the 2016-17 season.
The award, administered by the Faculty Athletic Representatives from the NCAA FBS conferences are given to recent graduates who finished their academic careers with at least a 3.80 cumulative GPA while simultaneously participating in at least two years of intercollegiate athletics at an FBS institution.
Rebels honored include: Saga Barzowski (Women’s Track & Field), Aubrey Edie (Volleyball), Danielle Gray (Soccer), Gretchen Harknett (Soccer), Caitlin Lewis (Soccer), Mai El Kamash (Women’s Tennis), Dakota Matiko (Softball) and Alison Weisz (Rifle). The eight award recipients ties for third-most in the SEC this year.
