Counterfeit Currency, Trespassing and More in Today's Crime Report

Oxford police responded to the following calls: 911 hang up, four alarms, ambulance assist, two animal complaints, two careless driving, counterfeit currency, disturbing the peace, domestic disturbance, fire department assist, scam, four suspicious activity, suspicious person, trespassing, welfare concern.
Oxford police investigated  six accident, eight tickets and made the following arrests:
Domestic Violence-Simple Assault
DUI 1st, speeding, no insurance
Public Drunk
Warrant served
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Accident, two animal complaints, petit larceny, juvenile complaint, six service calls, two suspicious activities, traffic complaints, civil matters.
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made no arrests
Oxford Fire Department:
11:13 – Old Applebee’s – small grass fire – the fire was out upon arrival
17:09 – Phi Mu house room #19 – a heavy spray of perfume activated the smoke detector
01:29 – Krystal – a smell of smoke – no smoke upon arrival and nothing found
University Police Department responded to the following incidents:
Three assist with traffic, two vehicle stops, harassment, speeding, accident hit and run.
