Oxford police responded to the following calls: Abandoned vehicle, 17 alarms, seven ambulance assist, three animal complaints, three auto-burglary, five careless driving, two civil matters, counterfeit currency, credit card fraud, cyberstalking, 21 disturbing the peace, four department assist, two improper parking, K9 search, malicious mischief, four motorist assist, two noise violations, two petit larceny, two public drunk, two shoplifting, two simple assaults, 14 suspicious activity, eight suspicious persons, two suspicious vehicles, switched tag, five vehicle search, six welfare concerns.
Oxford police investigated 27 accident, 43 tickets and made the following arrests:

9 Public Drunk
Selling/Giving Beer/Wine After Hours
Simple Assault
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Seven accidents, 10 alarms, six animal complaints, residential burglary (Hwy 334), 12 disturbances, two harassment, juvenile complaint, malicious mischief, 25 service calls, eight suspicious activities, two welfare concerns, two transports, three traffic complaints, fraud, three reckless driving.
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made no arrests

2/23 – 07:36 – University Ave. Hwy. 334 – wreck no extrication
2/23 – 08:05 – 215 Chandler Ave. – gas leaking at the meter
2/23 – 09:45 – SWN Factory 56 CR 166 – call canceled
2/23 – 13:32 – Courtyard Marriott – person stuck in an elevator – removed them
2/23 – 15:13 – The Flats of South Campus Bldg. 10 – working on the sprinkler system activated the water flow alarm
2/23 – 15:41 – West Jackson Chevron – subject with chest pains – monitored vitals until EMS arrived
2/23 – 21:47 – Stewart Hall 5th floor hallway – heavy spray of hairspray activated the smoke detector
2/24 – 08:05 – Hwy. 7 & 6 – log truck flipped over – no extrication of the driver
2/24 – 11:52 – Hwy.7 & 6 – EMA director call FD back to log truck wreck to wash mud off of the highway
2/24 – 13:21 – Mary Buie Museum – smoke from the toaster oven activated a smoke detector
2/24 – 18:08- Courtyard Marriott – removed people from stuck elevator
2/24 – 23:58 – ATO house 2nd floor – someone pulled the fire alarm pull station as a prank
2/25 – 02:37 – 158 Breckenridge Dr. – child having a seizure – monitored vitals until EMS arrived
2/25 – 14:48 – Hwy. 6 & West Jackson Ave – wreck with roll over – no extrication
2/25 – 15:27 – 132 CR 149 – driver went through resident’s yard then hit the back of a pickup truck – no extrication
2/25 – 20:04 – 118 Greystone – resident thought they smelled carbon monoxide – check the residence with a gas monitor and found nothing
2/25 – 00:33 – 504 Webb Street – House fire
University Police Department responded to the following incidents:25 vehicle stops, assist with traffic, intoxicated person, fake ID, minor in possession, providing false information to an officer, larceny, willful trespassing, public drunk.
