Joshua Wagner of New Albany was seen walking along Jackson Ave. in Oxford bearing a cross.
“I do this as a reminder that all things are possible through Christ,” he said.
Wagner said that he was told by his physician his diabetes is “out of control, and you are going to die if you don’t do something.”
“I lost 75 pounds in two months and am free of diabetes,” he explained as he carried the cross made of hand-hewn cedar with two wheels at the base. He began his journey with the cross at the Highway 7 and University Ave. intersection and ended at Chick-fil-A on Jackson Ave. He walks all over Mississippi bearing the cross for others to know how his faith changed his life.
