Oxford police officers from the Metro Narcotics Division provided the Oxford Rotary Club with a presentation on the “search and retrieve” abilities of local canine officers during a recent club meeting.

Rotary President, John Kohne presents OPD Officer Alex Fauvel with a $1,000 check in support of the OPD Narcotics Canine Corps.

Officer Alex Moffet and his K9 partner, Mattis demonstrated search techniques while Officer Alex Fauvel explained the successes and local involvement of OPD’s canines.

The Oxford Rotary had previously reached out to the Oxford Police Department to offer financial support for this worthy community service project and the Rotary donated $1,000 to add needed kennel improvements for the police dogs.
