Former Ole Miss baseball pitcher Brett Young will finish up the filming of his newest music video Thursday at Oxford Burger.
On Tuesday, the Oxford Board of Aldermen approved an application from Lineage Digital, the production company filming the music video, to reserve three parking spaces in front of Oxford Burger at the cost of $95 for the day.
The music video will be for Young’s recent single, “Catch,” off his “Ticket to L.A.” album.
Young came to Ole Miss on a baseball scholarship in 1999 and only played for one season with the Rebels in 2000 before going to play for Fresno State Bulldogs. His baseball career ended in 2003 after he injured his elbow.
The filming for the video started on Wednesday on the Ole Miss campus and the Swayze Field. Filming ends Thursday at Oxford Burger, according to Paige Billiot, with Lineage Digital. However, there may still be time to be an extra.
“With (Thursday) being the last day, we can’t guarantee if someone emails us today that they will get a confirmation email but people are welcome to try,” she said.
