That time of the year is back as football season gears up across the country and fans gather at their alma maters for gameday festivities. On Tuesday, Sports Illustrated released their top 10 best college football towns in the country that included Ole Miss and Oxford as No. 7 on the list.
The list of towns that SI.com created is in celebration of college football’s 150th anniversary.
“Oxford may be best known for the Grove—the site of some of the most epic tailgating in America—but the town itself extends beyond gamedays,” the article stated.
“The Square, which is the center of the town and looks like a step back in time, offers fine dining (City Grocery) as well as other great eats and shopping. Plus, the city oozes with history; visit William Faulkner’s home for a glimpse of its past.”
A total of five SEC towns made the list: Athens, Georgia; Columbia, Missouri; Oxford, Mississippi; Knoxville, Tennessee and College Station, Texas.
Ole Miss opens the 2019 season on the banks of the Mississippi River as they take on the Memphis Tigers in Memphis Aug. 31. The Rebels return to the Vaught-Hemingway stadium on Sept. 7 when the Arkansas Razorbacks come to Oxford.

This is a very beautiful place, I have been there many times, especially my children like it, it is not surprising that it was on this list, its creator knows a lot about beautiful. I also want to create my list with the help of the list creator, which Oxford will get to.
