**UPDATE: The intersection is now open
The Oxford Police Department shut down the intersection of Highway 6 and F.D. “Buddy” East Parkway at about 7:45 this morning due to a wreck.
Initial reports said a car and a garbage truck were involved in the wreck.
At lease one person was flown by medical helicopter to Memphis.
