Rebel Spirit on the March With a Musical Twist

BY Jack Lawton

Rebel spirit was on display all day and night Saturday and HottyToddy.com writer/photographer Callie Daniels captured the images — from Rebelettes to Rebel fans to Rebel Pride of the South musicians and cheerleaders.
These images put you right there on the Vaught turf:

And the cheerleaders were flipping!

And the Pride of the South Band was hitting every note!

The Rebel drum major has it in control.

HalftimeXlyphones
Musical excellence comes to the front.

The baton twirlers keep the halftime show in motion.

GunnerSargeant
Marine Gunnery Sgt. Stephen Roberts returned to cheer on the Rebels!

Note: Those who watched the Ole Miss play a home game against the Texas Longhorns in 2011 may remember Sgt. Roberts (aka “Ole Miss Screamin’ Marine”) hollering “TOUCHDOWN!” at Marquise Goodwin. Here is a .gif of that awesome moment. Sgt. Roberts also started the Hotty Toddy cheer last season. We were glad to see our rebel-hearted alumni back for the Homecoming.
HaltimeBand
A magical evening had the right music and the right Rebel pride.

RebelBearCrowd
And the Rebel reach for No. 1 marches on.

Fan
This fan says it all. A sweet night.
