Oxford Crime Report: Thursday, Dec. 18

Oxford police responded to the following incidents: eight suspicious activities, four alarms, two animal complaints, two civil matters, a careless driver, a motorist assist, a disturbance, a lost property, a misdialed 911, and a simple assault by fear.
Oxford police investigated three wrecks, issued 29 traffic citations and made nine arrests on the following charges: (2) careless driving and DUI, a possession of drug paraphernalia, a speeding and DUI, a minor in possession of alcohol, a shoplifting, a public intoxication, a speeding with possession of schedule II narcotics and DUI, and a driving with one headlight with no car insurance nor driver’s license.
University police responded to the following incidents: a suspicious vehicle at Kincannon lot, traffic assist at Hill Drive, traffic assist at Hathorn Road, and finally traffic assist at West Coliseum parking lot.
Oxford Fire Dept. received no emergency calls yesterday.
